I have always been drawn to the stories people carry, and the intricate puzzles those stories create in their financial lives. My journey into financial advising was influenced by my father, who founded this family business. His commitment to providing thoughtful, independent advice inspired me to follow in his footsteps. Before entering the financial world, I spent a decade immersed in the arts as a producer and fundraiser. It was there that I witnessed artists passionately chasing their dreams, often without pausing to secure their own financial well-being. Recognizing this gap, I felt compelled to offer guidance and support to those in the arts, ensuring they could pursue their passions without compromising their financial security.
When I was a kid, I wanted to become a psychologist, and in many ways, I get to fulfill that role through my work. Money is inherently emotional, and I believe that understanding the emotions and behaviors surrounding financial decisions is crucial. I take pride in breaking down complex issues, making them accessible and manageable for my clients. Every client is unique, and their financial journey is a fascinating puzzle that I am eager to help solve.
My professional experience includes working at New York Life from 2010 to 2014, along with roles in development at prestigious arts institutions. My credentials as a Chartered Financial Consultant, Certified Financial Planner, and Accredited Behavioral Financial Professional reflect my dedication to providing comprehensive financial guidance.
Outside of work, my family is my guiding light. My wife, Cantor Michelle Teplitz, and our children, Amalya and Elijah, inspire me daily. I cherish coaching Amalya's softball team, experimenting in the kitchen as an amateur chef, and indulging my love for theatre and sports. My involvement with organizations like the Theatre Development Fund and the Marlboro Jewish Center aligns with my deep-rooted values of supporting the arts and my Jewish faith.
Through my work, I strive to empower clients with the knowledge and confidence to make informed choices about their financial futures, all while fostering an environment where they feel understood and supported.
